Welcome to our site, which is designed to give a comprehensive view of the SE-ARS chapter activities, of rhododendrons in our area, and, through links to other sources, both basic and advanced knowledge of rhododendrons and how to grow them.
GENERAL:
Clickable links to other websites, pages or other documents are printed lighter within a text, or in a button. Any logo, button or icon and many photos, except in the title banner, can be clicked on. Loading times will vary with file sizes and your internet connection speed.
After viewing a linked site, and to return to the SE-ARS website, click on the "back" (<) arrow of your browser. Do not click on the red "close" button unless you intend to exit our website.
After viewing a linked page or document within the website, click on the preceding tab on your browser (Safari, IE, Firefox,etc.). Do not click on the red "close" button unless you intend to exit our website.
To visit the ARS main website, click on American Rhododendron Society on the homepage text, or click on the ARS website image on the homepage.
LOG IN / REGISTER:
LOGIN/REGISTER is an optional feature, for SE-ARS members only, provided to allow secure access to personal member information contained in the SE-ARS Member and Associate Roster. It also allows access to Board Minutes, By-Laws, and Chapter Treasurer's Reports, as well as a custom Google search within the website (restricted to registered members as the Google search engine may reveal members' personal contact information). Current SE-ARS members may register with name/e-mail address, and setting a personal password, after approval (i.e. verification of membership). Of course, do not reveal your Log In credentials, member roster, etc. to anyone.
If you have forgotten or wish to change your personal password , click "reset password", enter your e-mail address, check your e-mail and follow the instructions.
If you don't need access to the member roster or chapter administrative information, Register/Log In is not essential. (The roster may be distributed by mail or email to members with the Blue Ridge Review, and is also available by login/register at the Office of the ARS website.)
Steps for login/register:
1. Click on REGISTER.
2. Enter your Name, email address, and a personal password.
3. Wait for approval (to verify that a nonmember is not registering). The time varies, depending on when the "webmaster" has time to check in. You will receive an email when approved.
4. After approval, you may log-in by clicking on LOG IN and entering your email and personal password.
5. All subsequent views require only log-in, with no need to register.
After you have logged-in, the restricted pages which you can view are listed under the navigation tab "MY ACCOUNT".
NEWSLETTER:
Archived Blue Ridge Review chapter newsletters are available back to 2007 with content keywords. These public copies have been redacted to remove personal information.
FACEBOOK:
Facebook is integrated into the Home Page. Feel free to e-mail SE-ARS for contributions to Facebook, which may serve as a "blog" for SE-ARS.
